What is an email digest?
An email digest is one email that collects updates from several sources and delivers them together as a briefing. Instead of opening a feed reader, a dozen tabs and a newsletter pile, you read one summary at the time you chose.
It is a scheduled briefing rather than a notification stream. Twigest reads your sources on its own collection cycles, so the digest is built for a moment of reading instead of second-by-second alerting.
Twigest then summarises the collected items against the sources you selected, so unrelated material is pushed down, and it keeps the original link on every item so you can check anything that matters.

What an email digest does not promise
- Not real-time: an email digest is a scheduled briefing, not a live alert, so anything urgent reaches you later than the source itself does.
- Collection can vary: sources are read on Twigest collection cycles, and X/Twitter collection limits can mean fewer posts than expected. Complete coverage is not guaranteed.
- Public sources only: private or protected X accounts, login-only feeds and members-only videos are not read.
- Summaries are reading aids: an AI summary can miss or misread something, so the linked original item stays the record.
